Ways to Give to Church of the Holy Spirit
Your gifts to the church are welcome in almost any form you’d like to give. If you itemize, your gifts are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
By PushPay through our website: This is a convenient way to give - just click on the give button here or at the top of our website, and it will take you to our pushpay page. You will need to link your bank account or card and let us know if you are designating your gift for a particular purpose. We do pay a fee for each of these gifts, so we prefer direct tansfers from your bank.
By using Billpay with your bank: This method is great for you, and for us. You typically pay no fees for this transfer, and neither do we. Contact your bank to set this up regularly, or a one-time gift. Most Banks have a billpay option online you can sign up for. For us, your bank will send a check to us in the mail. If you need help with this, please contact us.
By check or cash: You can put a check or cash in the offering plate; in one of the secure beige metal giving boxes at the back of the nave or on our bookshelf in the Fellowship Hall; or by sending a check in the mail. Checks are posted to your giving account. When you give cash, if leave a note for us with the amount, we’ll post it to your giving account.
By giving Securties: This is a great way to give and save money on taxes. When you hold appreciated stock or other asset for more than one year, by giving to the church you do not pay capital gains on that appreciated asset, and you may deduct it if you itemize. Please do contact Harold Jones, our Chuch Administrator, to discuss it before you give. You will need our brokerage information for us to receive your gift, and we need to know who it is from.
By giving Cryptocurrencies: We now can receive your gifts of hundreds of different tokens of crypto! Click here to do so. Like with appreciated stock, when you hold appreciated crypto for more than one year, by giving to the church you do not pay capital gains on that appreciated crypto, and you may deduct it if you itemize. We convert your crypto to cash immediately on receipt.
Gifts of personal or real property: Before you give any such property to us, please do contact Harold Jones, our Church Administrator, to discuss it. We are not able to receive certain gifts, such as clothes or books.
