Sundays for Children (Infants – 5th Grade)

At Church of the Holy Spirit, we support parents’ efforts to teach their children to follow the Lord. We offer a safe and fun environment where children can grow in Jesus Christ. Children age four and above join their families for worship in the sanctuary at the beginning of the service. They sing with the entire church body and hear testimonies of how God is working in His church. After a blessing, the children are released to Sunday School. At the end of Sunday School, the children return to the service to celebrate Holy Communion with their families.

Children’s Ministry Curriculum

Church of the Holy Spirit uses a variety of curricula, taking students on a Christ-centered journey through the Scripture. They learn how the gospel unfolds from Genesis through Revelation. When children truly experience the gospel, their hearts are transformed.

Each week the children will be engaged in a Christ-centered study.

Sing songs.
Read Scripture.
Participate in activity/craft time.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

CHS holds a summer Bible school that is always a hit with the kids! A Christ-centered Bible study is presented through a fun filled curriculum. The days include a time of worship, games crafts and special snacks and treats. Check our announcements for more information about this summer’s VBS.

Other Opportunities

Our children are encouraged to be a part of any of CHS’ services, including the monthly healing service and special dramas. We particularly want their participation in our Christmas, Epiphany, and Easter dramas. Other opportunities to serve in our regular services might include reading the Scripture lesson, musical offerings or ushering. Parents, please let a pastor know of your child’s desire to serve in a particular way, and we will discuss the appropriateness of that with you.
