Men’s Ministry

Men’s Ministry at CHS

We believe that each Christian man needs the company of other men to become the man God desires him to be.  Only a man can teach a man or boy how to be a man, a husband, or a father.  We gather together in small groups, in accountability, prayer and mentoring relationships, at retreats, and at a monthly breakfast. We also serve on an ad-hoc basis to help people in need.

Monthly Men’s Breakfast

The Monthly Men’s Breakfast is typically on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 7:30am. Check the Weekly Update for confirmation of dates and times.

Men’s Mentoring and Accountability

Many men mentor younger men in the church body.  Some of these relationships are quite informal in origin, and some have been facilitated by the church.  Other men meet for mutual accountability, some in Life Transformation Groups of 2 or 3. If you are interested in a mentoring relationship or accountability relationship, and don’t know where to start, contact our Rector, Clancy Nixon, at clancy@holyspiritleesburg.org.

Our last retreat was “Fatherhood and the Domestic Church,” held at the Claggett Conference Center in Maryland.  We had times of praise, testimonies, small groups, great fellowship, and teaching on the biblical dynamics of spiritual fathering.
