We believe that each Christian man needs the company of other men to become the man God desires him to be. Only a man can teach a man or boy how to be a man, a husband, or a father. We gather together in small groups, in accountability, prayer and mentoring relationships, at retreats, and at a monthly breakfast. We also serve on an ad-hoc basis to help people in need.
Monthly Men’s Breakfast
Men meet on the 4th Saturday of every month at the Church from 7:00 to 9:00AM for conversation over a hearty meal, sharing stories from our lives, and learning. The food is excellent, the company is encouraging, and the information is relevant to our lives. Jim Heigl leads this ministry – call him at 571-283-1347 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Men’s Small Groups
Men meet twice a month on Saturday mornings at 8:00AM in Leesburg at the church to do life together as a Band of Brothers while we also look at materials written by author John Eldredge (most famous for Wild at Heart). All are welcome. Led by Dave Smith – call him at 202-441-0750.
Men’s Mentoring and Accountability
Many men mentor younger men in the church body. Some of these relationships are quite informal in origin, and some have been facilitated by the church. Other men meet for mutual accountability, some in Life Transformation Groups of 2 or 3. If you are interested in a mentoring relationship or accountability relationship, and don’t know where to start, contact our Rector, Clancy Nixon, at email@example.com.
We endeavor to have at least one weekend away just for men and boys every year. Pastor Dean Schultz also does men’s retreats through his independent ministry, Worship Equippers for Christ. Keep watch at our events page for schedules.
Men’s Service Team
Several men make themselves available to provide physical help to people in various types of need – from help with moving, to lawn mowing, cleanup, firewood – the list is endless. Call Jim Heigl, 571-283-1347, if you need help or if you’d like to help others.
